Connect your page

Connecting bot to Facebook Messenger is pretty straightforward.

Before you start, make sure that you have admin permissions for the page that you want to connect the bot to.

1. Go to “Settings” -> “Channels” in your Activechat dashboard and click the gear icon in the "Facebook" tile.

2. A small window with Facebook Messenger channel settings will appear on the left. It will have a single "Login with Facebook" button when you do it for the first time.

Click the button and follow Facebook instructions to provide the necessary permissions to send messages on behalf of your pages.

Don't forget to click "Select All" to provide access to all of your Pages so that you can connect chatbot to Facebook Messenger for any of them in the future.

And finally, check that you have all permissions enabled.

When you click "Done", your Facebook Settings pop-up will be populated with the names of your Facebook pages. Click "Connect" to connect your chatbot to the Facebook Messenger account associated with any of these pages.

Please note that Facebook allows chatbots to be connected only to Pages. You cannot connect a bot to your personal Messenger account or to a marketplace.
